Even though Raven would not be running her families foundation she still wanted to work for them. Being so far away from her family and them not supporting her decision to marry Xavier was very hard on her. Being a part of that foundation was all that Raven knew so she emailed her father to ask for a job. Renae's father agreed to let her be a Campaign Intern for the San Myshuno district.
Renae needed to get out in the city and start raising awareness for the World United Foundation.
It seemed as if people just weren't that interested in hearing what she had to say. People mostly just stared at her like she was a crazy person as they walked by.
Right before Renae was about to give up a man walked up and asked if he could join the protest. Once he joined it seemed as if people started to take notice. By the end of it Renae had 3 supporters for the cause.
When Renae got home she was ridding the high of a successful protest and jumped on Xavier as they were getting ready for bed.
The next morning as Renae was finishing up breakfast Xavier came to sit at the table. He asked her about her plans for the day. She stated that she would be go back to the downtown district to make some more connections. Xavier wanted to tag along so he could meet some new people.
Once in the city, Xavier was glued to Renae's side. She needed some space so she could schmooze the folks out walking about so she suggested that Xavier go watch the street performer.
Xavier really enjoyed watching the guy play. He got really into and lost sight of what Renae was doing. Xavier always felt like he needed to watch was she was doing because he knew she was too good for him. Xavier was always afraid that one day she would realize that she could do better and leave him. Once the performance was over Xavier made a beeline for Renae.
Xavier knew he should stop himself from doing what he was about to do but it was as if he couldn't control himself. He ran straight up to Renae and accused her of trying to flirt with other people. Renae was mortified as she had just been chatting up Penny to try and get a donation for the foundation. Penny looked at Renae with pity in her eyes and walked away.
Instead of getting angry at Xavier, Renae just smiled and kissed him on the cheek. She reassured him that nothing had been going on except her trying to get donations. She also reminded him that just because he couldn't see her didn't mean she was flirting with other people.
When Renae and Xavier got home there was a lady waiting for the elevator. Renae had seen her going in and out of the apartment next to hers and took this opportunity to introduce herself. Her neighbors name was Anaya and she was married with no children as of yet. Renae got a good feeling from Anaya and invited her to brunch tomorrow.
Anaya and Renae had a wonderful time getting to know one another. Anaya told her about all the places her and her husband love to go to in the city.
Later that evening Renae called Xavier and asked him to meet her at the pier. They sat and cuddle while watching the sunset.
Earlier in the day Xavier had been working on his programming skills. He dreamed of designing his own video game and live streaming it. His hope was to one day be a famous Switch streamer. He had done some research and it turns out that you can make real good money that way.
Renae has been trying her best to learn how to cook. While growing up her family had a butler so Renae never learned how to cook anything. Her cooking skill was so bad that she is still burning eggs to the pan. She never would have imagined that she might one day have to actually cook her own food.
Renae was really starting to show now. As the baby got bigger Renae found that she needed to pee more often. This made being out in the city networking a little bit more difficult as there wasn't always a public restroom nearby. Most places in the city would only let you use the restroom if you bought something and she didn't have money to waste on crap.
That is Salim. He is another neighbor that Renae and Xavier have befriended. The three of them have become very close over the last few months. Salim often comes over and plays video games with Xavier to help build up his skill.
In the evening when Renae gets home from work Salim always comes out to greet her and rub her belly. He then usually will come over to have dinner and hang out for the evening. Salim is an excellent cook so he will often offer to help make the dinner.
Renae called up Anaya and asked if she could pop by for a minute.
Once Anaya arrived they greeted on another and chatted for a minute.
Then Renae got right to the point of offering Anaya an apartment key. She wanted Anaya to have a key in case there was ever an emergency and she needed access. Plus once she went into labor and was in the hospital she would need someone to water her plants.
Anaya thanked her for the key and said she didn't mind looking after her plants.
