Gen 1 P9

Over the years Renae has gotten much better at cooking. It is something that she enjoys doing for her family. She finds that sometimes she will go to the kitchen and just start cooking to help relieve some of her stress.

The whole family enjoyed sitting together and eating. It is a great way to get closer and talk about what's been going on in each of their days.

It's also the one time of the day that Renae and Xavier have civil conversations.

Poppy has really taken a liking to drawing things. She can often be found sitting at her craft table making something. They are getting a nice collection of her drawings around the house.

Jin, well Jin tends to be socially awkward these days. He spends a lot of time on the computer talking to people or playing games rather than interacting with kids his own age in person.

Jin will mosey around the house and clean up often.

He also tends to play a lot of video games. 

Poppy on the other hand is a little social butterfly.

She has friends from school over all the time to play.

Xavier has been trying to keep himself busy lately and out of Renae's path. It seems as if nothing he does is good enough anymore.

He looks forward to Mondays because the kiddos always bring home a project and he enjoys helping Jin. It's a great bonding experience.

As Xavier helps Jin, Renae will often be helping Poppy.

Xavier has completed a mobile app called Simstagram. 

It generates about $75 a day. 

Renae organized a club for Jin to join. A few kids from his school will come over and they will all play ball together. Renae has been looking for ways to help Jin be more social and this was her best idea. It has helped him blossom a lot and be less sad lately. 

Salim called and invited everyone out for ghost night at the bar. Renae ran into Issac while she was there. They kept things very platonic and made no mention of the kiss. 

The kids seem to have a definite favorite between each parent or I should say one that they are closer to. Jin and Xavier can almost always be found together. 

Where as Renae and Poppy are always together. 

Poppy is always wanting Renae's attention still. Although it has calmed down a lot since she became a child. 

"Remember to brush your teeth before bed Poppet."

"Okay mommy."

Scrub a dub dub

Renae headed to the gym like she did every other day now. When she got there Issac was there. This had become a routine of theirs for a while. When Renae went to give him a hug though he pulled back. He told her that they needed to talk about her kissing him. 

"Renae, you are married and I don't want to be the reason your family breaks up. I could live with myself knowing that I came between you and Xavier."

Xavier and I had problem before I meet you Issac. You wouldn't be the reason I left Xavier. Xavier would be the reason I left Xavier."

I would rather we keep things friendly and if ever the day came that you did leave Xavier then we can talk about us. Would you be okay with that?"

"Of course I am okay with that! I would rather have you as my friends then not at all. Thank you for talking to me and telling me how you felt. I can respect your feelings."

Renae went on with her workout and pushed harder than she ever had. She has some pent up feelings that she needed to get out. 

After her workout she wanted to try a new recipe from one of the vendors in the city. Tonight she tried Nigiri and it was delicious!

When she got home little Poppy ran out and gave her a hug before she headed off to get ready for bed. 

After tucking Poppy in Renae needed a drink. She told Issac that she would respect his feelings but in all honesty she didn't know how to handle her own feelings. She loved Xavier but that love had changed. Her love for him didn't feel romantic anymore. She no longer felt the urge to kiss him and she definitely didn't have the desire to woohoo with him. When she thought of Issac though her belly would start to flutter. She could feel her heart start to race and her face become flush. She was developing, no, she had feeling for him. She didn't love him yet but she was curious as to where these feeling would go.

Gen 1 P8

Issac called up Renae and asked if she wanted to met him at the gym.

Fitness was something that Renae had started getting into recently and she was excited about it. It was always nice to have someone to workout with. Renae had pushed herself hard tonight and it felt great. 

As they were getting ready to part ways and head home Renae decided that she could handle her feelings anymore and she kissed Issac. After the kiss neither of them said anything other than goodnight.

When Renae got home she was exhausted and decided to crash on the couch. She didn't want to wake up Xavier and listen to him rant about her being out so late. Little did Renae know that he has been waiting up for her in their room and when she didn't come upstairs he headed down to see what she was doing. 

When he found her asleep on the couch he sat and watched her for a bit. A million different things were going through his head about what she had been doing and who she had been with. He knew things between them weren't great like they used to be. He often got upset with her over his own insecure feelings but he couldn't help himself. He tried to show her how much he loved her but it came out wrong most of the time. He knew if things didn't change he would lose her but he didn't know how to change. 

When Renae arrived work she saw that little Henry was in the exam room. 

She ran a few tests to find out what was wrong with him and because she knew him maybe just maybe she ran more tests than she needed. But she wanted to be sure she didn't misdiagnose him.

Turned out all he had was Gas and Giggles which was easily treated with medication. 

Renae spent more and more time with the kids instead of inside with Xavier. 

She felt like if she spent almost all her time interacting with the kiddos she wouldn't have to pretend to be okay with Xavier. Plus she enjoyed spending all this time with her kids. They grow too fast and Jin would soon be a teen that wouldn't want to spend as much time with her.

She couldn't avoid Xavier all together though. Most night's they ate dinner together as a family and the conversation would be pleasant. 

With every passing day Renae enjoyed her job more and more.

As an Assistant Nurse she now got to preform low risk surgeries on her own. It felt so good to help someone that wouldn't feel better without her.

Renae couldn't believe when she got home at four in the afternoon that Xavier was sitting on the couch in his boxers.

"What in the hell did you do all day! I can't believe that I have been at work busting my ass and you are home sitting on yours!"

"I decided to take the day off today Renae, relax."

"A day off?! A day off from what! What do you do that you need a day off? I am seriously getting sick of this Xavier. You need to step it up. I can't do everything and if I continue doing everything on my own then I might as well be on my own."

When Renae headed upstairs she saw that Jin was standing there looking upset. She though both the kids were outside playing. Jin asked her what she meant about being on her own. Renae hugged him and reassured him that she was just upset and didn't mean it. She loved him and his sister with all her heart and would never leave them.

"You love daddy too, right?"

"Of course I do Jin but it's different than how a mommy loves her kids."

Renae and Jin headed back downstairs to sit with Poppy whom had come in from outside to watch some TV. 

Renae headed upstairs to shower and get dinner started while the kids worked on their homework.

After dinner was done and the kids were in bed Renae headed to bed too.

Xavier never came to bed that night.

Xavier spent the whole night in his office. He worked until morning to finish up his second game and sent off to the producer. He got an email back saying that it was a huge improvement over the first one and would generate around $120 a day in revenue. 

Xavier was a little happy about the news but knew that it wasn't enough to support his family. He would have to start finding other ways of putting his skills to use. 

He headed outside to play some ball and clear his head. 

He was determined to show Renae he could do better. 

It was birthday time for Jin. 

Unlike last time, Jin was excited to finally be a teen.

He went around to everyone at the party telling them.

Happy Birthday little man!

He is a good mix of mom and dad.

Jin sat and chatted with Poppy about what it was like to be a teen in the five minutes he has been one. Then they ate some cake and visited with the other guests. 

Unfortunately the other little kids at his party were outside making a huge mess. Jin ended his party by going out and cleaning up after them.

Gen 1 P7

Work for Renae has been going really well.

She really enjoys getting to be more hands on with the patients.

She even gets to use all the special equipment. 

After all her hard work as a Technologist she has been promoted to Assistant Nurse. When she arrived home from work she called up Salim and asked if he would like to go out to dinner and celebrate her promotion. 

They went out to a local 50's Diner. 

Renae has slowly been getting fed up with Xavier and his lack of ambition. She knows that he has been trying to make it in the gaming world but it has been leading to nowhere. 

She is getting tired of hearing all his excuses about how hard it is. Having a dream is great and he can keep working on it. She just wants him to actually contribute to taking care of his family instead of leaving it all to her. 

Xavier didn't bother with planning a party for Poppy's birthday like Renae had asked him to. Since Renae has been working so much she didn't have time to plan on. So unfortunately for Poppy there was no big party. Just a little cake that Renae made for her quickly after work.

Poppy didn't seem to mind though. 

Her family was there and that was all that mattered to her.

As soon as she was finished with her cake she headed over to the violin and gave it a few strokes. She wasn't sure if she enjoyed it or not but she did play for a good hour.

One day while Xavier was out and the kids were at school, Renae heard a knock on the door. As she approached she saw that Issac was standing outside her door.

She invited him in and they sat to chat.

He had heard that she was promoted and wanted to come and say congrats in person. They don't often get scheduled to work on the same days so he doesn't get to see her often. 

As they chatted it slowly turned in to some flirting. Renae's heart was racing and she desperately wanted to kiss him but she didn't.

Renae needed to get out of the house and away from everyone. She headed to the city to eat some Dim Sum and clear her head. While she was there she chatted with Anaya about what happened with Issac. Renae was feeling terribly guilty for the feelings she was having even though she didn't do anything, she had wanted to. 

When she got home Xavier was furious with her. He wanted to know where she had been and what she had been doing. He didn't believe that she was out by herself having dinner. He had no idea that Issac had been by earlier that day while he was out. Renae just brushed him off and headed to bed. 

Now that Poppy was older she didn't freak out as much when Renae went to work. She was better able to handle it and be happy spending time with dad. 

The family took a trip to the park. 

Poppy and Jin had a lot of fun playing on the money bars.

They also impishly pestered each other but it was all in good fun.

There was a lady there with her kids that would not leave Xavier alone. She kept trying to give him parenting advice and he didn't want to hear it. He stood there and listened for awhile but eventually he just walked off. 

Since Renae's promotion she needed to be at work earlier than she was used to. She now got up an hour earlier to make sure that she had time to cook breakfast for the kiddos before she left. 

When Renae returned home from work she still made sure to give Poppy a little extra loving. Yes she was able to better handle Renae being gone all day but she still wanted that extra time with her mommy.

Then the family would all sit together and talk about how their day went. Lately Renae and Xavier were sitting opposite side of the room. Renae could barely keep herself from rolling her eyes when Xavier talked about his day but she didn't want the kids to see her do it.

She could feel herself pulling away from Xavier emotionally and she wasn't exactly sure what to do about it.
