Gen 1 P11

Today Xavier had a little surprise for Renae and took her to a new gym that opened up in town. Xavier knew that working out has become a passion of Renae's over the years and he wanted to show interest and support. 

Xavier had also set up a time for him to meet with a trainer. He figured if this is something that Renae was really into then he should give it a real shot. Plus he could admit to himself that he has put on some pounds over the years sitting in his office all day.

The trainer started him right away. He needed to know what endurance level Xavier was at and it wasn't very high. They set up a schedule to meet once a week for the next two months.

The whole family took a trip to the Spice Festival to try some new foods. 

"Did you see how far the flames came out of mouth?" Jin asked as he was laughing. Poppy was about to made a joke when Renae spoke up first saying that it wasn't as much as their fathers. Xavier shrugged his shoulders chuckling. "Well what can I say, spicy food doesn't like me."

Renae and Xavier went off to use the bubble blower while the kids went to play basketball. Poppy snapped a pic before they got all sweaty to post on her Simstagram. She has taken quite a liking to social media since becoming a teen.  

Isaac called telling Renae that he has been promoted to R.N. and asked if she would like to go out and celebrate with him. Renae agreed and they met at the pub for a few drinks. 

One too many drinks later and they ended up at Isaac's place. 

There was no talking and no second thoughts. 

Once it was over Renae laid there breathing heavily with her hand on her forehead. Once the haze cleared all that ran through her mind was, 'Oh no, what have I done'. She rolled over and looked Isaac in the eyes. She desperately wanted to say something, anything, but nothing came out. He was looking guiltily back at her and she knew he felt the same way. 

Renae got up and quickly put her clothes back on, rushing down the stairs and to her car. She felt as if she had just ruined their whole friendship in what started as one seemingly innocent evening. 

Xavier has been meeting with the trainer few times a week now.

Before today's workout it was sauna time to sweat out toxins.

Xavier had lost almost 20 lbs already but needs to do more weight lifting after today to tone his muscles. Xavier isn't sure if he wants to be lean or cut but he is liking the way he is starting to look now.

Both kids brought him a project today. Xavier sat between them and took turns helping out both kids. Renae wasn't in the mood to help the kids right now. Xavier didn't know what was going on with her now but she has been distant again these last two weeks.

 Renae was upstairs feeling guilty still about what happened with Issac. She couldn't shake the feeling and just let it go. She did not want to tell Xavier because she knew that would be the end of their marriage for sure. On the other hand she doesn't think she can live with the guilt. 

For now she is going to keep it to herself. Eventually she could move passed it in her mind and forget what happened or at the very least not let it invade her mind so much.

Renae's birthday is today and she didn't feel like having a big party so she just celebrated with her little family.

Renae has been feeling proud of Xavier for all the hard work he had put in with the trainer. She was surprised at his dedication to getting in shape. She wanted to do something special with him to show him her appreciation.

Geek Con was in town so Renae surprised Xavier with tickets. Xavier was very excited to go and show her the type of things he liked. Renae watched the gaming tournament that Xavier entered. She was actually impressed with how well he did. He got second place.

While there Renae wanted to try out the rocket. She had no idea that you could take a short trip to space during the festival. The thought had her rather excited. Xavier felt terrified by the idea of going to space but Renae coaxed him on.

Turned out the only motivation he needed was a promise of space woohoo. 

Now that is something he would get on any rocket for.

Today was a busy day at work. More people were pouring in the door then they had beds for.

Today was the worst day for work to be busy as Renae has been feeling well. Nausea has been coming and going for days now and today it was the worst. Not feeling well and completely distracted by her disturbing thought that she might be pregnant, Renae gave the wrong treatment to her patient.   

Renae boss suggested that she not see anymore patients today and concentrate on paperwork instead. Just as she was about to rush off to vomit for the umpteenth time her coworker came over to tell her the results of the pregnancy test she took this morning. 

"Good news Renae, you're pregnant. Congratulations!"

Renae groaned before running to the bathroom. Good news, good news! No this certainly was not good news. Who the hell was the father?

Gen 1 P10

The Flea market has come to town and Renae thought it would be good for her and the kids to spend the day together. One of the vendors were selling a few random items and Renae thought she would pick something out for Jin and Poppy but it turns out the guy was charging way too much. 

One thing about the festivals Renae loves is all the different food. Jin isn't really into trying new foods but he gets a kick out of watching his mom.

Poppy found some lotus candle lights that she really liked. Renae thought they were very cute but not appropriate for Poppy to have in her room. She wasn't yet old enough to have candles burning in her room.

This made Poppy become upset so Jin came over to give her a hug to make her feel better. As he pulled away he said, "You know sis, there are a lot of other things here you can get."

Poppy sniffled and wiped at her nose. "Yeah but I wanted those. I don't know why mom can't just get them for me. It's not like I am going to burn the house down or something." 

Jin stood up and placed his hand on her shoulder and gave her a little nudge. "I know you don't understand but mom does have a good point. Hate to burst your bubble."

 "Come on there is a fountain over there let's go make a wish before we head home."

Poppy got a coin from Jin, closed her eyes, and tossed it in the fountain making her wish.

Back home Xavier was enjoying the alone time playing on the water slide. He imagined that his family was planing something special for his birthday next week and couldn't wait to see what surprise they had in store for him.

The week passed and it was his birthday today. Renae has still been distant and not speaking to him often other than the usual stuff when the kids were around. 

Renae just sat there eating breakfast like today was just another normal day. The kids went off to school wishing him a happy birthday but he got nothing from Renae.

"I'm going to my office to work." Xavier growled as he walked past Renae heading towards the stairs. Renae just gave a "Uh huh" as he passed her not even bothering to look at him.

Once Xavier was in his office he broke down. He tried to tell himself that she didn't really forget she was just making him wait for a surprise later this evening. That thought helped to make him feel a little better but he didn't truly believe it. All he could do was wait and see.  

Renae really had forgotten it was Xavier's birthday. She went about her usual day, working out and cleaning up the house. Once Xavier went in to his office she usually didn't see him again until dinner time and because that's where he went, like usual, she didn't even know anything was amiss. 

As Renae was finishing up the dishes Isaac called and invited her out to eat. She quickly showered and changed before rushing out the door. She didn't even bother to poke her head in the office and tell Xavier she was leaving. She didn't think he would notice her being gone anyway.

At the restaurant Isaac and Renae chatted for hours. They mostly talked about work and the different things they have seen. They are only scheduled on the same days it seems about once a month or so and when they meet up at the gym there is no time for work talk. 

When Renae got home Xavier was waiting in the living room for her. He asked if they could talk so Renae sat on the couch. The next thing she knows he burst in to tears. 

"I can't believe you forgot my birthday Renae! What is going on with you, with us, I don't understand you any more."

Renae sat looking at him without saying a word. She felt shocked and very guilty that she forgot. She had no excuse for it. Renae cleared her throat as she rubbed the back of her neck and looked at Xavier, "Um, well, I don't really know what to say Xavier. I'm sorry. I don't know how I could have forgotten. It just really didn't cross my mind." 

Xavier's eyes bulged out of his head, "It didn't cross your mind" he exclaimed, throwing his hands up in the air. 

Renae knew that she messed up and messed up good. Oh what the kids must be thinking about her. No, no she couldn't think of that right now. She needed to think about fixing what ever was wrong with her and Xavier but before that thought could even fully form Xavier started talking again.

"I think we should go to marriage counseling Renae."

Renae thought marriage counseling was a good idea for them so she agreed to go. She wasn't happy anymore and she knew that he wasn't either. Maybe going would help them work through their issues. Of course she didn't bring up the fact that she had started having feelings for someone else but maybe working through things in counseling those other feelings would go away.

The doctor suggested that they start dating each other again to help rekindle those feeling they felt for one another in the beginning of their relationship. She also said that they should spend some time doing what the other likes instead of focusing on ourselves. It sounded like good advice to Renae. She never took anytime to learn about gaming or anything else really that Xavier was into and Xavier never wanted to workout with her. They made an agreement to each try what the other liked.

Today was a special day in the Raven household. 

Their little Poppet was becoming a teenager. 

Happy Birthday Poppy!

Renae was making an effort to be more affectionate towards Xavier and gave him a little kiss on the cheek during the party. If she was being honest with herself though, it was more for Poppy's benefit than Xavier's. Poppy has been feeling the strain between her parents and as a little gift, without actually calling it that, she showed love to her husband on her daughters birthday. 

The party was great. 

Everyone had a wonderful time and chatted the day away.

The writing style may seem weird and a little all over the place. 

I am trying a few different things to see what I like.

Gen 1 P9

Over the years Renae has gotten much better at cooking. It is something that she enjoys doing for her family. She finds that sometimes she will go to the kitchen and just start cooking to help relieve some of her stress.

The whole family enjoyed sitting together and eating. It is a great way to get closer and talk about what's been going on in each of their days.

It's also the one time of the day that Renae and Xavier have civil conversations.

Poppy has really taken a liking to drawing things. She can often be found sitting at her craft table making something. They are getting a nice collection of her drawings around the house.

Jin, well Jin tends to be socially awkward these days. He spends a lot of time on the computer talking to people or playing games rather than interacting with kids his own age in person.

Jin will mosey around the house and clean up often.

He also tends to play a lot of video games. 

Poppy on the other hand is a little social butterfly.

She has friends from school over all the time to play.

Xavier has been trying to keep himself busy lately and out of Renae's path. It seems as if nothing he does is good enough anymore.

He looks forward to Mondays because the kiddos always bring home a project and he enjoys helping Jin. It's a great bonding experience.

As Xavier helps Jin, Renae will often be helping Poppy.

Xavier has completed a mobile app called Simstagram. 

It generates about $75 a day. 

Renae organized a club for Jin to join. A few kids from his school will come over and they will all play ball together. Renae has been looking for ways to help Jin be more social and this was her best idea. It has helped him blossom a lot and be less sad lately. 

Salim called and invited everyone out for ghost night at the bar. Renae ran into Issac while she was there. They kept things very platonic and made no mention of the kiss. 

The kids seem to have a definite favorite between each parent or I should say one that they are closer to. Jin and Xavier can almost always be found together. 

Where as Renae and Poppy are always together. 

Poppy is always wanting Renae's attention still. Although it has calmed down a lot since she became a child. 

"Remember to brush your teeth before bed Poppet."

"Okay mommy."

Scrub a dub dub

Renae headed to the gym like she did every other day now. When she got there Issac was there. This had become a routine of theirs for a while. When Renae went to give him a hug though he pulled back. He told her that they needed to talk about her kissing him. 

"Renae, you are married and I don't want to be the reason your family breaks up. I could live with myself knowing that I came between you and Xavier."

Xavier and I had problem before I meet you Issac. You wouldn't be the reason I left Xavier. Xavier would be the reason I left Xavier."

I would rather we keep things friendly and if ever the day came that you did leave Xavier then we can talk about us. Would you be okay with that?"

"Of course I am okay with that! I would rather have you as my friends then not at all. Thank you for talking to me and telling me how you felt. I can respect your feelings."

Renae went on with her workout and pushed harder than she ever had. She has some pent up feelings that she needed to get out. 

After her workout she wanted to try a new recipe from one of the vendors in the city. Tonight she tried Nigiri and it was delicious!

When she got home little Poppy ran out and gave her a hug before she headed off to get ready for bed. 

After tucking Poppy in Renae needed a drink. She told Issac that she would respect his feelings but in all honesty she didn't know how to handle her own feelings. She loved Xavier but that love had changed. Her love for him didn't feel romantic anymore. She no longer felt the urge to kiss him and she definitely didn't have the desire to woohoo with him. When she thought of Issac though her belly would start to flutter. She could feel her heart start to race and her face become flush. She was developing, no, she had feeling for him. She didn't love him yet but she was curious as to where these feeling would go.
